2020 was a crazy year for us all and for some it led to a big pivots in life. I was one of those people. A leap of faith relocated my young family from New Jersey to South Carolina but it also meant leaving the home we’d lovingly rehabbed and created. Your first home is usually pretty sentimental, mainly because people tend to live there for a while, and the #HoppingHouse was no exception. We’d brought our baby home there, hosted countless gatherings with our nearest and dearest, family gathered together to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays, and we marked many, many milestones during our 5 years there.
There’s so much I miss about our former home and was honored when my friend Leah asked me to take a look down memory lane. In her new magazine, @inkindmag, I share a diary about what made the house so special and what I learned along the way.
